Hi,

Before anyone asks why I don't have WHS it is because I wanted proper RAID and Web Server use out of a server but now that I have 19 HDD nestled into the case mostly full of media I am having a fair amount of trouble getting it off.

I ideally want to be able to both stream the media, not transcode it for the most part just stream it and download the media to a set computer so that I can put it on my phone or Ipod for travel.

Things I have already tried with marginal success:-

*Windows Media Connect 2.0 - this gave success on my MKV player via upnp and will play music to other PC's but would not send MKV files as it said they were not recognised.
*Tversity - Roughly the same success as above got AVI files playing but my poor server trys to transcode it which as its only a AMD 4200 the quality is shocking even with AVI's, option to transcode turned off but still transcodes.
*Servioo- Got nowhere with this one at all.
*TwonkyMedia - Some success but finding a download option stumps Twonky.

So can anyone think of any other media server software options possible??

Specs of the server are as follows-

AMD 4200
4GB RAM
80GB x 3 OS drives
ATI 4870 - could be used
Hauppage dual tuner card (not sure which one) - could be used

Thanks in Advance
