If you turn the computer on and get no audio then check these steps:
1. Install or reinstall the drivers or motherboard drivers.
2. Make sure that you have the speakers connected in the green socket.
3. Check the volume settings in control panel.
4. Check the Sound and Audio Controller settings and check audio tab to see if your audio device is selected.
5. Check the BIOS and enable the AC97 or audio in intergrated peripherals.
6. Make sure the speakers you are using are powered.
