Hi there,
Tyring to install XP pro onto a Isys Elite Pro machine that has a foxconn g33m in it. The default install keeps bailing out with a BSOD saying that the BIOS is not fully ACPI compliant. I can get it installed by using F7 to bypass the checks, but non of the power saving options are then available. Latest BIOS (722F1P30) is installed.
Any suggestions?
Tom.
Look in the BIOS for anything that mentions ACPI and change the setting, it will probably be on or near the power management section. Write down anything you change tho so you can change it back. You can also try loading all setup defaults.
Only other option really is to bypass it all and see if there is any program that should be running that looks after power management instead of the windows built in stuff, most likely on the Isys website (if they have one) or try contacting their tech support directly.

Yes please check ACPI Version Setting in BIOS under Power Management Section.
Please set to ACPI Version 1 and retry install.

It is set to version 3, which I believe is the default setting on it. I will try it setting it to version 1 tonight when I get home and see if if fixes it.
Many thanks,
Tom.

Thanks - I did have a quick look at these settings, but was not sure what it was complaining about, so didn't mess about too much. I will look in more detail this evening.

Sorry - I perhaps wasn't too clear. It is a Novatech Isys, http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?PC-2003, (which I believe has a Foxconn G33N motherboard in it (http://www.foxconnchannel.com/product/Motherboards/detail_spec.aspx?ID=en-us0000319). I had a look at the Foxconn FAQ and downloads for it, but drew a blank. :-(
Many thanks,

Version 3 is not the default setting as such but is not right for XP.
Version 3 Will fail with Windows XP. It is for Windows Vista only
