I'd like to do number 3, but not sure how many of the usuals still post.

maybe we can relax the rules a bit so that more people are likely to enter :thumbs:

Yeah I'm game. I did have some entries for the Black & White compo but the rules specified they had to be taken withint a certain date and mine were taken earlier than that in New York.

my best ever shot in NYC was back in 2004, coming back off liberty island just as the sun was setting. I got a shot of the statue from the ferry with most amazing colours over new jersey.

the shot was simply stunning, but i only had a cruddy digi cam. effectively a webcam really.
I'll never be able to print the pic in anything bigger than 6x4 and even then the PQ is pretty awful.

that shot got me interested in getting real cameras tho.

The reason for the time restriction was so that people would be encouraged to take some photos rather than rely on past glories. If people are given a month or so to take a photo, that should be enough time to get the creative juices flowing.

I've enjoyed the two so far so please do organise another.

As I'm going to the Festival of Speed soon if the theme could be "Speed" or something similar it would be quite helpful ;):D

I'm sure you could interpret something as vague as 'water' at the FoS ;)
BTW.. much jealousness....
I haven't been to the FoS since they made the prices extortionate.
