thought i would point this out for any of the gamers out there using Xfire.

Haven't touched Xfire since it decided to download several gigabytes of stuff without asking or telling me.

God knows what you did then unless you subscribed to tons of file groups or turned on download patches for games I own. In which case its your own fault anyway.

That's the point, all of that was turned off and it still went ahead and downloaded junk, the only reason it was 'my fault' was for installing it.

never had a problem with it before, i will be getting it tonight when i get home as i used it loads when i played bf2. Cant say it ever downloaded anything without asking so you must have picked something or downloaded something unknowingly.

Nope, it just randomly downloaded patches and media, for games I'd never even had installed, it was not a setting I missed or turned on, it was a bug in xfire that caused it.
