I'm having problems installing Home Server on a PC I plan to use as my server.
WHS starts the installation sequence ok, creates a partion on the HDD, formats it and then hangs on the 'Prepairing Installation' and shows approx 20% on the bar 'copying files' at this point there is no DVD or HDD activity. Have left overnight as the set up warns it make take several hours to complete installation and nothing changes.
Has anybody got any sugestions?
I know the PC works ok as I've been running W2K on it up until Friday eve.

Not long after I placed the original post I decieded to try a different DVD drive and much to my delight it worked.
The odd thing is the original DVD drive still works :?

I now have a fully functioning Windows Home Server :D
