Hi, in the next couple of months i plan to build a new pc with the below listed parts.

From my old system i have another one of the HDD's for a RAID 0 setup as well as a 5770 graphic card.
I am also looking to purchase a new case, but am still undecided (would like it to have a window with some nice cable management).
Any help on the matter of the build or the case choice would be greatly appreciated.

Xigmatek cases are very nice and come with holes for watercooling and an optional side-window!

I'd also consider the cheaper but still rugged Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 AMD 890GX and a groovier Phenom II X6 1055T:

IMO, 890FX X16 Crossfire bandwidth is really just for the overclockers who want a fractionally higher score. 890GX X8 should be fine with a couple of HD 5770 cards.

How much are you looking to spend on the case?

For the case i am happy with spending around £100

About the Phenom II x6, i have heard that they do not perform as well as the x4 for gaming (which is my main reason for buying the case).
I think i will remove the 2nd HDD and get a Intel X25-V Mainstream 40GB SSD, as my total HDD consumption right now is 73Gb.

There's the Coolermaster HAF 922 - although I don't like the look of it - I have an Antec 900, although there is the Antec 900 two (which is better) and i must say, my 900 is great - superb airflow and I like the looks...you could also try the Lian-Li 7NFB for top notch design and build quality...

Mate, the Phenom II X6 1055T is an awesome value processor and fundamentally 50% better than a 965BE overall. It has a turbo feature that allows it to almost keep up with the 965BE when 3 cores are in use as in most DX10 games like FarCry2:
http://www.guru3d.com/article/phenom-ii-x6-1055t-1090t-review/17

Once you move on to new DX11 games like Battlefield BC2 which genuinely utilise all available cores in a way that DX10 never did, those 6 cores add together to give performance on a par with the outrageously expensive Intel 980X:

Those benches are done with a HD 5870, very much on a par with what you can expect on the crossfire HD 5770 combination. In fact 2X HD 5770 is better than a single HD 5870 in heavily tessellated synthetic benches like Unigine 2.0 which we have run at this forum a lot in the Overclocking and benchmarking department.

Ok i think that i will then change the 965 to the 1055T, and i am also looking into the cooler master storm sniper case for hold everything.

I would drop the Coolit and get a high-end hetsink. The thinness of the rad it the draw back of both the Coolit and Corsair. The H50 is fine to take an i7 up to 4Ghz but struggles with temps after that.

Something like a coolermaster v8 then (my knowledge of heatsinks is limited).

steve has given som sound advice with the x6 processor it is fantastic value and with more and more games supporting multi threading it will only become better and better. and the turbo feature works really well. if you only play and will ONLY play old single threaded games... you want a fast cpu. but the x6 cpu will game like the best on current games and game as like the best till bulldozer/sandybridge.. even then 6 cores is nothing to get uptight about. so you will be set.

as metioned it would be worth looking at an air cooler, theyre more robust if youre overclocking which seems like you intend to maybe stick with the crosshair 4 with a 1055t and get a titan fenrir

http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/Components/Cooling/CPUCoolers/Titan/4260120532850.html

not the quietest cooler on the market. and a little behind that is this
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/Components/Cooling/CPUCoolers/Akasa/AK-CCX-4002HP.html
which offers near titan performance but quieter.
