Well the first thing i see is that it says coming 2011, so its already slipped its ship date. Which i suppose should not be surprising............. its Valve!!

I saw Steam download something for Portal last week called Portal : First Slice or something to that effect. Haven't looked into it though

They already released the full Portal for free on Steam anyway to celebrate the fact Steam is now on the Mac too.

But you are right it's an 11 level demo bundled with TF2 etc.

Unfortunately yeah... the free run was limited. Fortunately I managed to get it though :D

And it was just Portal. This first slice also has HL2 : Deathmatch, HL2 : Lost Coast and Peggle Extreme apparently.

Yes portal was updated. There is a new Achievement that involves finding radios around the portal world and then carrying them until the radio signal becomes clear and you recieve a signal. Find them all and get the signal and you get the achievement.
Also the ending sequence was slightly changed from the original in order to tie in with what happens in the next game

no those bits are still there, there was a third bit which was an addtional bit you got for completeing the radio bit which was to do with the countdown to the portal 2 annoucement. That bit is gone, but you can still get the radio main achievement

Chubby inducing isn't it?

The Source engine is one of my favourite, if not my favourite all time engine. I (used too) argue with my friend who states that the Source engine is too old and Valve need a new one - BS! Everything you see in the teaser trailer is in game - Valve may release the application they use to create this (and the Meet the...) video(s) which is the Source Film-marker. It allows the user to manipulate the Source engine in anyway they want and the edit it like a film.

Who needs DX11 ay?
