Hi, i have an ASRock motherboard:
http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?M ... NF4G-SATA2 (http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=939NF4G-SATA2)
I currently have 2x512Mb RAM and am looking to upgrade.
First of all ive gotta tell you i'm new to computer upgrades etc, this is my first upgrade, so i really have no clue about RAM (all these letters confuse me  )
After reading the motherboard spec, i THINK that it would support this RAM:
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spec ... AM-40%2F1G (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?RAM-40%2F1G)
please correct me if i'm wrong? :?
Secondly, if i bought two sticks of the above RAM, could i also use the RAM ive got installed at the moment, to give me 3Gb of RAM? or does it not work like that? :?
sorry if my questions are stupid, i just dont want to rush into buying anything i'm not sure about
thanks in advance
