View Full Version : Disaster strikes!!!
just installed a Thermaltake bigwater 760i after leak testing it for a day! switched it on and it was fine for bou 1min then it switched itself off n smoked poured out of the case! it smelt like something plastic had burned! put my stock heatsonk n fan back in and it works fine so is there something wrong with the kit or just me?

If something was burning, there is obviously something wrong, lots of smoke will leave scorch marks, check the kit you removed, if it isn't damaged, start going over the things in your case. If you still can't see it, it is probably inside your psu.
Something is damaged, it could be a fire hazard from now on.
taken everything out n checked but no scorch marks but my dvd writer was stinkin of the "plastic" burnin so removed that! everything else was fine! put it all back no probs with anything then! hooked up the water cooling kit externally to test it and no probs there either! :? :? :?
how on earth did my dvd drive blow randomly?
