Hi, today i bought the NNB-329 AMD64 3400 Crossfire II, and ive got to say, its a fantastic looking and performing laptop, just what i wanted.

However after installing Windows XP Pro, (I bought with no OS), i am having real problems getting the internet to work. I initially used the "install all" option on the driver cd included, and everything apart from the "Network Controller" works fine.

It shows some problems in Device manager, so i tried to reinstall/update the drivers for the "Network Controller", and told to search the CD for the driver. It finds no driver on the CD supplied, and i also tried searching the Windows XP disk for the driver also.

I have, in the last hour or so, formatted the C: and started from scratch again to eliminate an installation problem. Unfortunately it shows the same problems. I also installed each driver individually this time, to eliminate any problems it may have been having, but no luck.

Im sure its something really, really simple and im being completely retarded, but if you could help that would be great. Im moving to Paris in less than 2 weeks to work for Blizzard (hence the desktop replacement) and as you can imagine, am going to need this in working order before i go!

Many Thanks,
Chris

Once you have the system installed. What devices do you actually have listed under Network Adaptors in the Device Manager.

Ok, under Network Adapters i have the 1394 Net Adapter and SiS 900-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter.

I probably should have mentioned this before, but it didnt cross my mind. The Network controller problem is displayed under a seperate category of "Other Devices"

Hope this helps

Chris

OK the SIS900 Controller is the onboard LAN Port.

The other network controller that is not installed is for the Wireless LAN Card.

We use both Intel and MSI wireless Cards and the CrossFire 2 should have an MSI card.
Please try downloading and installing the latest driver for MSI wireless card and see if that clears that issue up.

Let me know how it goes.
