Hi,
Our Pc is sufferring in silence!!!
I think a reinstalling of windows may help it, but have got the following little problem. :(

I have all the drivers for the SII 3112 RAID controller and it's associated bits, and when i attempt to reinstall pressing F6 installs the Drivers,

Then windows goes through the motion of installing , but when I want to format the drive [a Maxtor 6 L299M0] it says it can't find it.

When I installed the OS last the disk was "new" and it didnt have a problem.... Before i use maxblast to "blank" the drive and NOT be able to get anything back, I wondered if anyone had, had a similar problem? :?:

The PC is surviving, and it aint critical that I rebuild, but if i ever had to some forward planning may be of use :!:

Ta very much
:)

Could you provide the model Number of the PC in question as this will aid us in resolving your issue as without knowing all the hardware involved it makes things a bit more difficult.

If this is a novatech PC bought with Windows Preloaded are you using Novatech Recovery Media to perform the install.

Which of the connectors is your hard drive connected to.

Two are linked to an SIS SATA controller and the other two are linked to a SILCON IMAGE Controller.
Obviously you have to use the correct driver for which controller your drive is connected to.
