floppy A would not work after newmotherboard bundle install 2 years ago I need this drive to load sata drivers on as my ide hard drive is failing and i have bought a sata hard drive the power light is permanently on the floppy A Drive can anyone help please

You should be able to load the drivers onto a USB stick and load them from there....

Try reversing the floppy cable at the floppy drive end. Some cables seem to allow this to happen....its happened to me, and this solved the problem.

Unless you have real need for it I would consider removing it.

CD/DVD drives and flash memory can be used as boot devices.

If the power LED is permantently lit then the cable is connected to either the motherboard or the drive the wrong way around. I.e. pin 1 is connected to pin 34 at one end or the other. Twist the cable 180 degreess around so pin 1 of the came matches pin 1 of the flopy drive.
