Anybody played this game yet? i bought it last night and just played it...

Got to be the worst game i played in a while, its so unrealistic. Every time i buy a race sim it ends up being a disappointment and i have to go back to rfactor which still is the best race sim money can buy.
What are your thoughts?

Hmmm

I haven't got it but I've read other forums where they are raving over it.

They are saying that you do need the steering wheel and pedals setup though, forget trying it on a Gamepad.

Im using a steering wheel n pedals.
Its just really numb, the driving is really not that great. Its worse than grid.
For instance you can put full thottle on half way round a corner and the computer will stop the car from spinning out even though ive turned everything i can off :s
Think ill take it back and stick to rfactor and the f1rl 2010 mod on that as its amazingly realistic.

Its funny how the best games ive played have always been ones open to the public to mod, makes you wonder sometimes lol

It is a good game, no denying that. The cars are twitchy at times going around corners, depends what tyres you go on conditions etc. Downforce seems to make a difference unlike other games and that. And if you think the computer is stopping you from spinning you obviously ain't going fast enough ;)

Maybe i just like them too realistic lol. I suppose if they make them too realistic no one could play them and they wouldnt sell.
Its an okay game and the graphics are ok, just wish it was more realistic on the handling side of things.
when the back end does step out all i gotta do it twitch it left and it straightens up,...magic? i dont even have to adjust the throttle lol so i think the computer is helping out there. Ive put everything i can find to hard, is there something im missing like a menu to turn traction control etc off?

I like it, but it does have flaws. It is more of a game than a sim I think.
I was expecting GP4 updated rather than a game.
Having said that, I can't stop playing it.

i can lol done 2 grand prixs n won by 30 seconds... boring lol
i suppose if they make it a sim they narrow the selling market which i totally understand but i think they should bring out a sim mod for it

It sounds like you have braking assist on and also vehicle stability. In the middle of a corner if i give it too much throttle the car will spin every time, as it should do, turning all driving aids on i can pretty much do a whole lap without touching the brake and still come first...but thats for n00bs :P

Ive got brake assist, line drawing, stability control etc all off... I am being a bit harsh i think, it does spin out easy i suppose but compared to proper racing sims, i think its just lacking that realism that rfactor seems to have.
What do you think about the damage? its a bit weird in places, u can tangle wheels with people and not get any damage, same with hitting them up the ****

Yeah the whole damage thing is pretty awful, i've gone head first into an opponent and not had any problems, im pretty sure i have the damage turned on :S

It's nice to have a F1 game after a few years without anyway :)
