I'm stuck right now, I need to know whether to choose a new processor with a new motherboard and 5670, or to stick with what I have now and upgrade to the 5770 and get some Keyboard, Mouse and Soundcard upgrades

Current Specs:
Foxconn 6150M2MA Motherboard(Old Socket AM2)
AMD Athlon 64 X2 OC'd @ 3GHz (from 2.4GHz)[Brisbane]
4GB 850MHz(OC) RAM
XFX AMD Radeon HD 5550 1GB
Onboard Audio(Pure ****!)

Budget = £190

I'm thinking of purchasing:

Choice1

Phenom II X2, Then core unlocking it to Quad and OC'ing

ASRock Core unlocking Motherboard(It's cheap but reviews are pretty good):

HIS Radeon 5670 1GB IceQ(I do 1920x1080 Gaming, Need something suitible):

Or:

Choice2

Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 1GB

Asus Xonar DG:

Saitek V5 + V3 Keyboard+Mouse:

I'm thinking of going for the Phenom and Motherboard, The 5770 is double the power of the 5670, but my CPU is what is currently bottleknecking me at the moment so I desperately need a new one!

I might sell some stuff first then see if I can afford the 5770 + Phenom, I'll let you know if I can!

the 555 is also a very high chance of unlocking!

Help me fellow nova's

Don't worry guys, Going for choice 1 but with 5750 instead, reviews are great and should be able to OC it to match the 5770, Can't help the processing cores though :P

Moderator if you wish to lock this go ahead

presuming of course that it unlocks, also if your a gamer I would go for a gtx460 768mb if I were you. the 5750 is a bit too slow for good settings on most modern games and the difference in price between the 5770 is too small not to go for the 460.

I prefer to stick with ATi and the reviews of the 57** are pretty good, And yes I can only hope that I get the good batch :), Even if I don't I sitll have the Phenom's raw power just in 2 cores :D

dont know why you would want to stick with ati when the gtx460 is at such a good price, it makes no sense to do so even if you are a fanboi. its not as if ati's drivers are better than nvidia's so I don't understand why you would not consider nvidia? alsp for a gaming pc you really want to have minimum 3 cores now, duals such as the 555 just dont cut it anymore.

edit: also what budget you playing with here so I could recommend an upgrade that may be more suitable.

I'll sell my old PC parts first then see what my mind goes too :D

Currents got my eye on the GTS 450; With the reviews and price, Also Phys-x and CUDA, Looks like a buy from me :D
