Hi,
I am thinking of purchasing an Executor Pro in the next couple of weeks and was wondering if you could answer a couple of questions for me.
1) What motherboard is used in this PC?
2) How many DIMM slots are used (is it 4 x 512MB OR 2 x 1GB?
3) What make are the DIMMS?
4) Will the PSU support 2 8800GTS Cards or will I need to upgrade (For future expansion?
5) What make is the Graphics Card?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

Dont know what make of mobo but the ram will be 2x 1g, it comes with a 8800gts so the psu will be able to handle it (or there wouldnt be much point in selling the system if it was gonna crash out every 5 mins), and it's probably a palit gpu, novatech brand!!

Hi Jonny,
that doesn't actually answer the question but thanks for the response.
I know it will run one 8800gts but will it allow for in the future?

How long is a piece of string? It's a p35 chipset mobo so u wont be going sli, so unless your gonna planning a radical change in the next year or so i wouldnt worry too much! It actually says on the description that it has a 500w thermaltake psu which is a very good psu!

The specs will of changed by December ;) May well have a different gfx card in it, or its price reduced.

1) What motherboard is used in this PC?
At this time it is an MSI P35 Neo2 FR
2) How many DIMM slots are used (is it 4 x 512MB OR 2 x 1GB?
2 ( 2 x 1GB Dimms)
3) What make are the DIMMS?
4) Will the PSU support 2 8800GTS Cards or will I need to upgrade (For future expansion?
Yes should be ok for two of those, however it would depend on what other items were added to the system as well as everything needs power.
However please note this board is Intel Chipset and does not support SLI.
5) What make is the Graphics Card?
Cannot specify Brand ( Subject to change)

Thanks for your help guys.
Was wondering about the SLI (New Area to me as currently have a X1950Pro AGP), it does state in the catalogue that the board has 2 x 16 PCI Express.
Bit pointless having 2 if the chipset cannot support SLI.
Again cheers

I See the Mobo is Crossfire ready.
Thats the way to upgrade without SLI then.
On another note, I do believe your PC's to be great specs and much cheaper than that company that has been brought out by (Rhymes with ****).
Keep up the good work.

No xfire is the ATI version of sli as intel or nvidia wont release drivers to accomodate sli on intle chipsets. You wont need to worry about that tbh a quad and 8800 gts 640mb will see you thru the next lot of decent games and probably the whole of next year also!!

SLI is an Nvidia Technology and ATI is CrossFire.
Intel boards that have 2 SLI 16x Slots are normally Crossfire Ready. However Intel and Nvidia have still not agreed on the in's and out's of SLI on Intel Chipset so they do not work. Maybe one day they will get it together but at the moment no.

Probably not though John it must suit nvidia to be only able to run sli on their chipsets!!!

Of course there must be, but the 680i is getting on a bit now (although still a very good chipset) where as intel have had the p35 ip35 and now the x thingermegig so whats nvidia's next chipset i wonder!!

Nox says there will probably be new specs by December, can this be cofirmed as true? (I can't afford it until December anyway, so you won't lose me buying it now)

Yes anything is possible. I cannot say for sure that the spec will change but we review our specs every month to make sure that we are offering competitive products at a competitive price. So yes it might change come december but then again it might not. It just depends on the market =)

Will the Executor feature the new Quad Core Q9450/Q9550's when they become readily available or will they be put into the Annihilator PC's?

Also - is the 8800GT card better than the 880GTS?
It has faster core speeds but a smaller memory interface?

I do not yet have information with regard to what we will be doing with these CPU's as yet. It is more likely to be in the annihilator but i really cannot say at this stage. Watch this space!

Yes Although i am yet to test one myself the published benchmarks i have seen do show that the GT performs better than the GTS but is not as good as the GTX. So it kind of slots itself in between them.
A lof of this is down to the new core used on the 8800GT compared to the older design used for the 8800GTS and GTX.

Will you be putting the GT in instead of the GTS soon?

I'm a bit disappointed to see that in the Executor Pro it still has the 8800GTS and not the 8800GT.
Why does the Pro have this and the Executor the 8800GT?

I think the Executer also has the 8800GTS. Well according to the site anyhow.
