How many viruses?????????

Hi folks

I am a partner in an I.T./PC repair company and recently we had a PC to repair that had 47 viruses on it after the customer let in a Trojan horse and left the PC on! We thought that was a pretty hefty number of viruses until Friday when we received another which we eventually managed to boot and run AVG on it and guess how many viruses it had???????????
2,230!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone beat that? It is now registered in our "Hall of Fame" :lol:

No cant beat that, had to sort out a friends pc that had 49 but that is my max. Can hardly believe you got the thing too boot lol

Mcaffee Virusscan crashed out at 17.5k on a Windows 98 machine I worked on when I was with a different company. It wasn't uncommon to get 1k+ listed. NB these aren't the number of virus a machine has, just infected files... I'd like to see XP running 2k processes

I saw a computer that had 3,300 viruses, they replicated into the system files and the system restore.

I used AVG to get rid of them all.

My old PC had 2-3,000. It was a family computer and nobody really knew much about the internet when i had it. Virus scanners would tell me they have fixed everything, then after a restart they would all be back.
