VLC Player now on iPhone

My favourite media player has just been released onto the iPhone (iPad version has been out for awhile too)

No more transcoding to get videos onto my iPhone. Just add the original through iTunes.

Plays avi, divx, even flv.

Works really well, apart from high resolution video. At which point it reports your phone is too slow to play it. Other than that, it's a worthwhile download (especially as it's free)

I've got it but has anyone triend MKV files on it? Thanks

MKV are generally High Definition videos so I would assume they won't work. Well, they'd work, but the phone isn't powerful enough to play them smoothly so they'd just stutter.

Installed it via the app store, but due to my PSU going bang, I can't sync with iTunes at the moment :(

Thanks! I'll try it out anyway. SD/HD MKV's are generally smaller in file size so I was just wondering.
