Hi, new to the pc world

Hi all, new to the pc world, been Mac for the last 5 years and decided to get something i could game with.

I have a x80r and the specs as follows.

17"
Intel core 2 duo @ 2.0ghz
4 gig ram
250 gig 7200rpm HDD
Nvidia 8800 GTX GFX Card
Windows 7

I am having an issue at the moment, i have the new Fallout New Vegas installed on the machine and it doesnt seem to run very well, it jitters constantly, even with all the settings at low.

I also have Fallout 3 on the machine and it runs sweet at "high Quality" setting. Has anyone have any advice if my machine should run this properly. Spec for the game are.

On another note, the game was downloaded (from a reliable source), and other games i can run with no problems:

reliable source = legal or not? If not then that there might be the issue, if yes then no idea :(

Cheers for the reply, i managed to get this fixed, it was needing an update for the game.
