Just an Observation

In the Novatech product magazine I get monthly I note that the Desktop PC prices leave a large void.

The prices vary from circa <£300 to >£1000 then there is a big gap with the next one being >£2000.

When I come to change mine again in about 18 months I would like something a bit more powerful than the £1000 area but I don't really want to stretch to £2000.

Price doesn't equal performance.

There isn't really any configurations for £1200-1400 pc's. You can buy top of the range for £800 nowadays. The £2000 ones have loads of rubbish you don't really want. If you are that much of an enthusiast that you need one o novatechs £2000 pc's then you really should be building it yourself

Spec out a 1k machine then double the memory, or add a second gfx card.

theres not much point in going SLI unless your running at 2048x1600 + resolutions.

for what you gain vs cost is not very much at all. but if you have to have the best of the best then it is adviseable :-p
