Unfortunately my XFX 7950 GT AGP card went pop yesterday and is obviously kaput, I contacted the returns part of the web page and noticed that I could not ask for a refund as the card was purchased in June 2007 and as such falls outside the 28 days, instead the card would possibly be sent away for repair. I dont want another XFX card, prefer a more reliable brand.
Now the dilemma I am having is since the card went pop, now would be an opportune time to upgrade the system to a PCIe card and as such would prefer a PCIe version or one similarly priced. Surely this card isnt going to be repaired, simply replaced? If that is the case then couldn’t a different PCIe version be sent instead?
Many thanks
Chris
