Microphone Question

For my sins I present an internet radio show. I want to connect a half decent DJ mic to the sound card, but I can't find out what the suitable impedance is for my soundcard.

I'm thinking of using a Shure PG48 QTR which has 600 ohm impedance.

Would this be compatible? So far, the mics I've used have needed the input volume set at max to be heard.

Professional mic's use XLR connections which are balanced. You'll need to connect it to a mixer then into the computer.
