laptop DVD tray is stuck

I can't get the DVD tray to eject from my Gateway laptop. I've tried the paperclip trick but its still stuck!
I think I might have loaded the DVD badly and caused this problem.
Any ideas as what I can do please?

Are you able to remove the drive from the laptop & unscrew the casing ?

yep, take the drive out of the laptop, then it will come down to a lot of luck - it my just open after that, or you may start needing to undo a few extra screws/clips, or a bit more force...
