Hi

I got my new nSpire 2410 and installed Ubuntu 11.04.

The trackpad does not work very well... there is no side scrolling and it does not deactivate while typing.

This is the output of xinput list:

⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ FSPPS/2 Sentelic FingerSensingPad id=11 [slave pointer (2)]
⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3 [master keyboard (2)]
↳ Virtual core XTEST keyboard id=5 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Power Button id=6 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Video Bus id=7 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Sleep Button id=8 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ USB2.0 UVC 1.3M Webcam id=9 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ AT Translated Set 2 keyboard id=10 [slave keyboard (3)]

So it's a Sentelic touchpad.

I downloaded fspc from the SourceForge Linux Finger Sensing Touchpad project but it does nothing.

Can anyone help?

thanks

You would be much better off asking on the ubuntu forms as this is really an ubuntu specific issue and the guys over there will be better equipped to help you. Funnily enough I get more trackpad features on my x65 running archlinux then with windows 7.

Yes, maybe, but so far I am drawing a blank other than using mouseemu as a workaround.

Posted on here in the hope that someone else fixed it

thanks for the response.

Have you tried with a more recent kernel and/or X server ?
There's the mainline kernel PPA and xorg-edgers PPA for just such a reason...
