I have all my images on my router HDD, and basically i want to be able to view them around the house.
Is there a networkable device that can output to a monitor or tv screen to play images?

many thanks

Have you tried ORB (http://www.orb.com/orb/)

I was thinking a slingbox may do what you're after, but that maybe just TV.
