I would suggest a 600 watt power supply for future purposes and go for branded memory. Either corsair or G-skill are worth considering.

The CX range from Corsair are ok but may not be the best for the price. The 430w version is at best a 380w unit

I agree 100% about the RAM maybe not so much about te PSU, arent new components using less power rater than more?

I had a quik look at a PSU calc and it suggests that even with two 6870s, 2 HDD & 4 sicks of RAM you would still only need a 500W PSU.

I used this one, have a play and see whay you think

If he would like to add a higher rated graphics. Generally speaking parts are becoming more power efficent but it's always worth having more than you actually need.

Strike the memory off, it's single channel only, you want dual channel memory, Ripjaws are my recommend to you, you need a 2x2 4GB kit rather than 1x 4GB for dual channel.

Why not get an i5 2500k @ £159 rather than the AMD @ £149

And the Gigabyte Z68 board for it @ £79 rather than £66 for the AMD one

What you need to tally up is this, for a game rig you should buy the quad Sandybridge processor.

If you want it for video editing and modelling stuff then the AMD with 6 cores is best.

NT memory is good btw, I've used it many times, the only reason I say don't this time is cos it's not DC memory.

Get the extra cost back by swapping out the GC for a 460 instead.
