Was originally swayed by tekno convincing me 2 get sum crucial balistix 2gb but @ £60 it was a bit steep so i looked around nd found the 2gb ocz platinum which looked good @ £40ish but now i've found geil black dragon with some very good reviews and its used on tomshardware and has lower timings so now im confused on what to go for! im swaying towards the geil though someone guide me though.
The Geil http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?GEL-BD642G
The OCZ http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-072-OC&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=813

HELP! lol
thanks in advance (btw im ordering from overclockers as they also have a TEC graphics card cooler on there which i need!!!!)

Well i reckon that when your buying a top speed ram past 667mhz its pretty much a muchness as the actual performance is hardly noticable at the higher end so go for the middle set and you'll be good to go

2GB for £60 steep??
last year that would buy you 512mb, i think that £60 is a very reasonable price for what you get

I'd take the ballistix. I wish I'd got some when it was on offer, but didn't really need it then.
Now im stuck with this corsair stuff which is probably pretty generic **** tbh!
The SPD manufacture date is some time in 2006! Sat in the warehouse a long time.

Well if you did a benchmark between cheap and expensive ram the performance gains are very slim, dont get me wrong easy to say sat with my dominators but if I couldnt afford them I'd be just as happy with corsair value 667mhz!!!

In fact I started with novatech 800mhz when i 1st got my striker as i couldnt afford the ram after £233 on the striker lol!!
