How accurate are stock levels on item pages?

I've put a big order in today, and was told by a very helpful sales lady that one or 2 items are out of stock. It should all be in stock by the end of the week.

OEM Intel Quad Core Q6600 (item page says 80 in stock)

The other two items out of stock indicates delivery today:

I guess it'll be next week before it might get delivered to me.

due dates can sometimes change but the items that say ( xx in stock) is a live feed from our systems.

If it is a live feed, why was I told maybe tomorrow for this item, if the item page shows in stock? Or is allocated items not subtracted from the live feed figures?

I realized a little while ago that maybe the sales lady heard the order code wrong, and put me down for retail version of the Quad (which is out of stock) instead of the OEM version. I have sent her an email to make it clear lol

Tut patients whats that we're hardware hungry here i couldnt wait for the royal mail, I ordered 2 copies of pro evo for pc on the 1st with a 2 day delivery and still aint got it and it was dispatched the same day!!! RUBBISH want to beat my son and his beloved chelsea on lan lol!!!
