I'm looking to use the buy now pay later scheme to purchase my laptop. However I had problems with credit checks which I dont understand as I pay everything on time. I was wondering how this would effect my ability to get this laptop? I think the credit check went wrong before because I have only lived in my flat in under a year. I also think previous tennants had a really bad credit history.

If anyone can shed some light on this please.

Previous bad tennants & also if you have no loan history this works against you as well because you are an unknown risk.

You need mum or dad to say they will pick up the tab if you don't if they are credit worthy.

Okay thanks for the info. We're getting my partners brother to do it, wanted to pick one up today for the partner to use in Uni but wasn't told we needed a pile of identification

FYI always use a credit card for ID if you have one, this immediatly acts as a + towards you credit rating......

Cheers :)
Decided to get a student overdraft out for now, credit rating won't be boosted for a while because of lack of credit at all. Put myself on the electoral roll too to boost it. I got a different laptop from another company, only because I found it a higher spec one and at a bargain price of £379.99
