Hi all,

Soon to be building a new system. The specs that I'm looking at are:

C2D E6550/ C2Q Q6600 (If my budget can stretch)
2GB OCZ PC6400 (From old PC)
Novatech 7900GS
Raptor 150GB 16MB (From old PC)
Thermaltake TR2 470w (1x 120mm Fan)

But I'm not 100% on the board. I've always used Asus boards, but just need opinions on the P5KPL or P5K series in general. I had looked at the Intel's 965, but I think £80 is just too much for it. As I've always used Asus boards, I'm of the mindframe that other boards are inferior (Yes, I know) but are there any other recommendations?

Budget of max £500. The P5KPL fitted nicely as it seems adequate for what I want. I have heard that it doesn't OC at all though - Is that true? I've never OC'd before, but all the Conroe's I've seen have OC'd brilliantly (For example, my friend has an E6300 at 3.2GHz) and it's got me intrigued...

Any hints/tips/advice/input is greatly appreciated :)

Thanks,

Karl :)
