Q. Why are my blank DVD's not detected in my DVD burner?
A. A lot of DVD burning problems are down to slight compatibility issue's with the drive.
Solution. Update the DVD writer’s firmware. Almost all DVD drive manufacturers release firmware updates every few months. Firmware updates are designed to fix any known issues with the drive, they will also improve the drives compatibility with blank media. Firmware can be downloaded from the drive manufacturers website. Many updates can also be found using the below link.
