I have the default power supply I got with my unit about 2 years ago. Installed my new graphics card and I got an error telling me there was insufficent power. Now I understand there are some cables to plug in either an 6 pin or 4 pin - however the cables I got seem quite small. Before I take my PC apart again I'd rather know what I'm doing before messing around with the power leads so I was just wondering if there was a step by step guide on how to connect the PSU to the Graphics card?

if the gfx card has a 6 pin connector, then you should of been provided with a splitter which takes 2 *4 pin molex power cables, and turns it into 1*6 pin power cable
The cable you need look like THIS (http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ModuleNo=46857&doy=15m11)
The two molex connectors need to be plugged into different rails (or strands) of the PSU

You are going to need a good 350W minimum PSU.
I forgot to plug in the auxiliary power connector on my AGP 8X Xpertvision 7600GT one time, and I got horrible flickering lines across the screen... :?

Well I need not have worried too much. There was a very obvious connector cable to slot into that led to the power supply. Sorry about that, just was a bit worried. I really should sit down and study all of these things that I'm doing. :-p
