Are you using latest Mainboard BIOS for your board?

Are you running ATI latest catalyst driver v6.3 or driver from the CD that came with the card?

What card did you have in there before?

What is make and model of your PSU?

No offence

change the psu

Your problem should dissappear immediately.

For such a low power system, i recommend the Xpro 400W

http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spec ... XPR-400PSU (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?XPR-400PSU)

Will provide all your power and be giving exactly what it says it should in the way of power.

Though you could spend a lil more on a bigger name brand psu, but this will do more than adequatley.

Dan

Based on what your sig is showing, im surprised your system isn't flashing that it doesn't have enough power for the vga card, if your only using the 400w model. When i got mine, i went for the 460, because at the time, it was the best bang for buck without being full of poo about its capabilities.
The fact that its finished in black nickel plate makes it look a bit bling through the side window didnt help much :D

Theres not much in it between the 2 psu's, with the main difference being that the x-pro is single 12v rail and the hiper is dual 12v rail, which is really where the extra 80w's is coming into it.

For this system, unless he intends to go to a p4 or A64 based system anytime soon, he wouldnt see the benefit of the split 12v rails. (based on his chice of card, i can't see him spending £40 on a vga and then hoping to play top end games at top frame rates. he's a man on a budget. Just not gordon browns one)
That and at this time they only have 1 x-pro 400 showing instaock, and 11 hiper 480's due in on the 31st.
