After a P4 cpu

howdy peeps, im after a socket 478 P4 cpu, for an old emachine comp i got from my mother, at the mo its got a celoron 2.8 in it, and i just want to do a basic swop over. im setting the comp up for my 2 year old daughter to play her cartoons on, and some educational software, so any surgestion where i can one cheap, or if anyone here has old one they dont use let me know, as i dont want to spend 90+ quid on a new cpu when its only gona be used for what was stated earlier

I might have a P4 3.0Ghz Northwood boxed lying about with the heatsink and fan. Ill check when i get home.

the only really anoying thing about the emachine system i got seating here, is that the mobo has no agp slot, so useing a pci card instead, but then its what i would expect from PC"lets rip everyone off"world.
i had to laugh though, when my mum brought it, she was told she be alble to upgrade the graphics whenever she wanted.........lol just shows most of there starf know sod all about the products they sell

Yes i have the CPU , it is a retail one with the box and heatsink. Indeed it is a 3.0Ghz Northwood 512K CPU

Not sure if it's needed anymore, but I've got a 2.8 P4 in an old PC i'm using for scrap, aftermarket cooler, really not sure which one XD.
