Hi,

Does anyone know if the 660GT will support multiple monitors ?
(As it has a VGA and DVI output I am hoping that it does)

if the card has vga and dvi out then yes it will support two monitors. if you have two monitors with 15pin vga cables you would need a dvi - vga converter. some cards are supplied with these and others are not.

Ok many thanks.

I've also notice that when going into 3D display the card tends to make a slight noise. It seems to be related to frame rate, (ie its almost as if it makes the noise each time it refreashes the screen).
The noise is hard to describe, its kind of a repetative 'hiss'.

I don't spose this is common is it ?

have you made sure that it is definatley coming from the graphics card
it normally is the hard drive making that noise
but if it is the graphics card then if it has a fan then get some canned air or a hoover and clean it,it is prob just dust

The card is not old enough to be dusty ! Its only been installed a month or so.
It certainly sounds like its coming from the card, but I will try and confirm it.
I dont think its the HDD though as it also happens when scrolling documents and viewing things in a 3D viewer app, as you move the model round it makes the noise, and its not loading anything else at the time.

just try and pin point where that noise is coming from, if it is from the card have a look for dust, because dust does get on there in like a couple of days, it doesnt take long at all, plus whats a few minutes cleaning gonna do.
