My friend, tell us more about your present setup.
What power supply and processor and motherboard do you have?
How much memory?
Then you'll get a sensible answer. :D

That's kind of VAGUELY specified at Novatech.
But looks like it's an Intel chipset.
I don't know if you have 2 PCIX16 slots there, but for sure Intel is licenced to support ATI crossfire, rather than NVidia SLI.
Go for ATI. Maybe 3870, depends how much you want to spend, and assumes the power supply is up to it. Probably 500W will do nicely. :D

That motherboard only sports a single x16 PCI-E slot, so you wont be doing any crossfire on it.
Considering that, you'd be best off with one of nvidia's 8800 series cards. If you can afford it, the 8800GTS 512 is the one to go for, considering the low stock on the 8800GT 512's.
It'll slaughter anything ATI has out right now, and is priced nicely for its performance.

Expansion Slots 2 x PCI Express x16, 2 x PCI Express x1, 2 x PCI
Can't you read? 2x PCI Express x16

hmmmm
Why do people keep saying the 8800 GT/GTS slaughter the 3870. They really dont.
Plus with ATI you can get a decent mobo save money and have crossfire rather than have nvidia suck the dust out of your wallet.

The answer about the slots is kind of inbetween I think.
Doesn't a P35 have one PCIExpressX16 and one PCIExpressX4 in a full size slot?
What I didn't notice at the time is the supplied 430W power supply. Which is limiting.
But for sure, the ATI 3870 has considerably lower power consumption than the 8800s, which is always a bonus.

I don't want to get into all that Fanboy stuff here.
Personally, being a simple soul, I always look at the bundled games to swing a tight decision...
Something that does interest me, beyond the odd 10% performance differences, is that different graphics cards can LOOK quite different.
Nvidia can be a bit dark and murky looking, or am I imagining that? :?

My bad. I was just looking at the photo for that bundle, in which case, Novatech didnt even put up the right photo of the motherboard.

this is what it says
Graphics 1 x PCI Express x16
Expansion Slots 2 x PCI Express x16, 2 x PCI Express x1, 2 x PCI
and as i surgested on your other post howie, with the budget you mentioned, the 3850 will be good enough. normaly i would probaly go with nvidia, but imho there too pricey at the mo, i would love a 8800gt, but at 160 quid + no chance at the mo, when i can get the 3850 for a touch over a 100 quid
