Are the SATA drives fitted in the Nero Extreme Pro (PC-0879T) (Western Digital Caviar); SATA-I or SATA-II drives?

I notice the manufacture date on one of the drives fitted in my PC-0879T is late-2004. Why has this drive been kicking around so long?

There isn't any real difference between SATA-I or SATA-II, what you want to be looking at are things such as cache size, and erm, not a lot else really etc maybe noise levels!

you've also got port selecting, which is something else 99% of the 'non servery type' population don't use :) and NCQ, and double the bandwidth, and probably loads of other bits and pieces :D
