I just brought a whole system from Novatech, all the parts so i cud build a user spec PC

Got everything working, after some faulty products, turned the computer on, started loading windows, at next reboot, just sat there at the boot screen

When i looked inside, the SATA cable on the motherboard has come out on one side, no matter what i do, it always falls out?

The hard drive, cables and everything were supplied by Novatech. Is it a cable problem, a motherboard problem, or just a bad design flaw?

How can i make the cable stay in!?

Design flaw of the first SATA cable standard - the later standard cables have clips on them to stop this. That said, it should stay in fine as long as the pc isn't moved often, ie 'firm enough'

what you could do i s find some cables that are near it and cable tie them together so they have more stability or get some celo/antistatic tape and tape it on, or if there is another s/ata port you could try using that.
