quietening PC

Someone once told me using some special rubber washers on the screws between fans and the chassis of the PC can reduce the noise by dampening vibration

anyone ever tried this?

hello john mate, i have seen thngs about this before. i dont know anyone thats tried it.

Thermaltake cases have rubber washers between the HDD and the main chassis and this also helps. The PC I tested recently had quite a few of these and it did run very quiet.
