Ok , basically i just bought a new Asus 8800GT 512mb.
My previous card was the Radeon X1950 PRO 256mb PCI-E , since ive taken out the Radeon and put in my new 8800GT my monitor wont switch on.

Rig :

2048 Ram
Amd64+ Dual Core 4200+.
Mobo - K9VGM-V

My powersupply is also 550W and i have plugged in all 6 pins coming from the 8800GT.
I have updated my BIOS. changed the monitor , everything! .
Please help , i was really looking forward to having this card for christmas and now it just looks like i wont :( .

VIA 890 Chipset... :?

If it's not displaying at bios level, it's most likely incompatible with VIA chipset. This is known problem with 880 chipset and GEN2 enhanced PCI Express 2.0 cards.

Or faulty.
