View Full Version : Two Monitors, computers on a KVM? Is it possible......?

I run two computers side by side, one a single core AMD used for everyday bits and bobs, the other a Dual Core AMD used for Simulations, and Graphics. It would be very nice if I could use the two monitors together, on each computer, swapping wires is not easily done. So is there a KVM available which could couple both together allowing each to be used with both monitors. I only need to use one at a time, so control would also be needed through just one keyboard/mouse.

I've tried to look at KVM specs, but find them a bit confusing, and what I think I understand is that they do not cater for more than one monitor. Is this right or wrong?

Can anyone cast some light on my darkness please!

if you google "dual monitor kvm switch" you should be able to find a kvm switch that you can use.

Thanks Danno, but most of the URLs didn't work, and those that did were very confusing. I was hoping that Novatech might have or know of one.

Just use a normal KVM. Without connecting the Monitors to the KVM - Connect the PC's straight to the Monitors.
