Thats a really old processor im not sure adding any more RAM is going to help much.
Tried to google your board but didnt come up with much.

Is it running Windows XP?

yeah he's running xp on it and it does the job but gets a bit bogged down when you have a lot running.

acourse it would be bogged down from the CPU, i would try a decent barebone upgrade either a C2D or an amd X2 but really extra ram wouldnt help unless it had a 2GB max motherboard ram then try but no garrantee

256MB isn't really enough for Windows XP. Another 256MB stick of PC3200 will help greatly. The operating system alone is using about 200MB.

The SPD tab of CPU-Z (http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php) will tell you what the current memory is. The memory tab will tell you what speed the motherboard is running it at.

Chances are you can stick almost ANY 256MB module of DDR in and it will work. For instance, PC2100 with that oldish processor. Try it. Nothing will blow up.:D
