ASR-939N68 Usb problem

I have replaced a dead mobo in a Fujisu-Siemens Scaleo P with a Asrock 939N68PV-GLAN.

Everything whent fine with the installation apart from one little thing, only half of the usb ports work. of the four on the back only two work and from the two on the front only one works.

Yet if I plug my usb light into any of the ports it works, so I deduced that there must be power going to each and every one of them.

Does anyone have an idea why only half the ports are working?

Could it be related to the power supply?
Could it be that I have to uninstall and re-install the usb drivers?

Any help would be appreciated.

uninstall the drivers and then reinstall the drivers and see if that fixes the issue, alos may worth while checking for new versions of the drivers and maybe checking the asrock forums to see if anyone else there has the same prob
