This seems to be an Conroe E2140 with a 512MB cache rather than 1MB.
Traditionally that will give a 10% performance hit.
But the bottom of the range is cheap as chips at around £30, and will overclock, as usual.

What a result for budget systems, even if you buy the better parts of your rig and save on the cpu to get it up and running and then get a better cpu later, great work intel every1 loves options. :lol:

There used to be the celeron 440 too. Just a single core ver. Great cpus for budget. Cache uses up most of the die space for Intel cpus so it's not a surprise these are so cheap. Can probably build a decent system for under £200

these are surposed to overclock like mad also,
but with 512k cache, the performance does suffer a little

For surfing web etc or maybe even a server they are fine. I'd personally pay the extra for the Pentium E's
