Hi,
Please could you advise how I go about returning my laptop to you under the 2 year care package where you pay for delivery both ways.
The processor isn't switching frequency automatically at all - see http://forum.novatech.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=369
Also, there's a pressure mark on the display on the bottom right hand side.
I had a look and there doesn't seem this facility on the online returns area of the website.
Many Thanks.
Dan.

hello, if you call tech support on 0870 112 0612 they can generate a returns number and arrange a collection for the laptop.

OK, I'm not happy. I've stayed in for 2 days now and UPS haven't turned up to pick the laptop up :-(
On the day it was initially delivered, the online tracking said "Delivery attempted, card left" when no-one had called all day. Thankfully, a phone call to UPS sorted that out and they turned up soon after.
Maybe Novatech should get some compensation from UPS as they're not doing their job...
If it sounds like I'm ranting, I probably am :-) I'm away tomorrow so it can't be picked up until Monday - if they turn up! It's costing me a lot of time, this.
I've emailed customer services...

Thanks for letting us know about that, we can give UPS a prod and maybe make a claim for a failed service 8)
If you do have any further problems, let me know on here or call customer services.

So are pressure marks on the display covered??
I have noticed one and my laptop is only a month old and i know i didn't cause it

The laptop has finally been picked up on my third day of waiting in, a week after I requested the pickup! I don't know what was going on, but I had to phone them again today to make sure they were turning up. The guy who turned up didn't look happy... (probably due to me phoning UPS several times over the past few days)
Incidentally, my complaint about this to Novatech customer services on Thursday (Email Ticket Reference: 1053420) appears to have been ignored, where I asked to have it rescheduled for Monday following the no-show on Thursday... (that would make this the fourth day I've waited in)
The stress/hassle of returning this laptop for replacement is worse than the house we're buying at the moment!
Service and delivery from Novatech has always been top notch, so I'm sure this is just a glitch.
TO FOZZEE: The laptop is brand new and it came with the pressure marks so it can be returned as faulty - I don't know about a month old but I would hope it's the same. Try phoning Novatech if you don't get any other response - they're always very helpful :-)

From the online tracking on UPS website today as the laptop wends it way back to Novatech:
25/04/2006 15:31 - PICKUP SCAN
25/04/2006 14:55 - THE RECEIVER CANCELED THE ORDER AND REFUSED THIS DELIVERY
18/04/2006 11:26 - BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED
What on earth does the bit in bold mean? Maybe this is why I've been having so much trouble!
Curiouser and Curiouser...
I don't suppose anyone can suggest how long it will take before I get a replacement laptop - I'm sort of semi-reliant on it for my work...

I had trouble with UPS as well. Stayed in and they never arrived. No message, no card. Nothing.
I got on to Novatech (who were very helpful) and they gave me a direct number for UPS. Then got on to UPS who promised next day delivery, which they did.
I had to return my latptop later and UPS did turn up on the day they promised.

Just to keep you updated with my laptop saga, Novatech have very kindly refunded the postage I paid, so thank you Novatech :-)
Hopefully I'll get a replacement this week as they're running on 3-5 working day lead time at the moment.
