Well if you have 4gb of ram you'll have to install it with only 2gb in and then patch it so it can use 4gb.
I've been running vista for over a month and never really had any problems. Most programs work and the ones that don't work under compatibility mode.
What spec pc are you going to run it on.

Dont get striker 2, not hearing good things about it. Would suggest either a p35 or x38 chipset board, and either a 8800 gt or gts, they perform just as well as gtx's for less money.

If your going to overclock the Asus Striker Extreme is not very good.
I have the Asus Striker Extreme and there is only 1 bios that will work properly.
I haven't used the 2nd version 780i chipset however I would check overclocking on that board and problems.
SLI is meant to be good with the chipset though.
Just so you know there arn't many games / applications that support SLI, which is where ATI's crossfire is better in some ways

I know some1 with the striker 2 and its just as bad as the original for oc and has far more bugs, stay well clear.

Well there you have it :).
If you want more power for graphics with dual graphics cards then ATI is definitely the way to go. SLI splits the screen either alternate pixels or 1/2 and 1/2 where as ATI combines the two graphics cards which is a lot better.
Generally the boards for crossfire are also better for overclocking as the chipsets are made by Intel.

I have just setup a MSI P7N Diamond at home....................... lovin it :D
I already have Vista64 with SP1 built in so i was able to install straight on to my system without having to do the remove the RAM, install, patch and then add ram again.
