I have the Nero extreme Pro with a Foxconn 945 board. It came pre-installed with 2 x 250MB WD SATA drives connected to two of the 4 available SATA connectors on the Intel SATA Raid array. These were configured as a 500MB Raid0 (striped) array.

If I was to connect either one or two additional SATA hard drives to the remaining SATA connectors; could these be independently configured as separate drive(s); ie. not involved at all in the original RAID volume? Or maybe both additional drives configured as a separate (second) 500MB Raid0 volume within windows?

Thanks
Nigel

Yes, you can add additional SATA drives configured to behave as standard drives on this computer.

Thanks for this. Could you briefly describe (or point me at a guide) how I would add 1 x 500GB SATA Drives toeach of the unused two SATA connectors and configure them as separate 500MB drives, in addition to the 2x250GB Raid0 array that the PC came preinstalled with.

Thanks
Nigel
