View Full Version : Neptune Pro - CD/DVD ROM not working

So I've had this machine for about 3-4months and generally I've been really happy with it

Unfortunately the last couple of days the CD/DVD ROM have been acting weird, I didnt think much of it at first, but after a while it just wouldnt start.

Windows is telling me the drive isnt connected properly, and I'm thinking its most likely just a loose connection

I also got the 2yr carepack for it

so heres my dilemma, am I allowed to open the machine to make sure the wires are all properly connected? I know some manufacturers doesnt allow this and if the seal has been brokwn they wont take it back....

I'd be more then happy to send it to Novatech, but my problem is I need the computer for work and I dont have a replacement machine (my work is depending on the computer so I cant be without it even for a day)

Please advise

If you are confident to open the machine, reseat components or check for any loose connections on a notebook or PC this will not void your warranty as long as you do not cause any damage, install faulty or incorrect upgrades, attempt modification.

If you would like to return the notebook either call us on 0870 112 0812 or using the new online live chat service.

As I'm sure you can appreciate we do need a reasonable time to complete any repair and test the notebook before returning. This is currently around 7-10 days.
