I have a Novatech PC which is 3 or so years old. It is P4 3.2 Prescott - 865A01 with 2 x 512mb PC3200 - 200 mhz of RAM. I plan to up this to 2 GB. The mother board has 4 banks for RAM - two of which are used. Is it ok to put a 1 gb bar of RAM in or should this be two 512 bars. Is it ok to mix 200 mhz with 400mhz - I take it the 400's would run at 200 mhz. If I replaced the 200's with 400's what real fifference would this make if any.

Thanks

Couple of 512MB Corsair VS PC3200 should work well for a dual-channel 865 board.

Note you will need to order two, despite the picture.

Odds on they will be well enough matched. You can run CPU-Z (http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php) if you want to delve. :P
