ok heres the problem, ive recieved one of these cards (Novatech (PEAK) Geforce 6600 256MB AGP 8x) a few days ago, installed it put the supplied drivers on and it doesnt work correctly with my games, ive also tried the latest drivers that support the 6600's ive turned the settings in the games down and on the cards settings and still nothing. i have sent an email to both peak and novatech's support people but so far no reply from novatech :(
whats wrong is the card doesnt seem to be able to work out where alot of textures are suposed to end so they are stretched off to the end of the screen or some point way outside the playing area. it also is missing some textures/surfaces leaving emply transparent or black areas on the maps.
i have had a reply from Peaks technical support and all they say is that it may be a faulty card and feel free to swap it with one from the shop i bought it from. since i the technical support from this site hasnt replyed in the time stated when filling out the form, was wondering if i'd get a faster responce here :)

Hmm, does sound like you've got a problem there, I'll ask Tech to look over this and get in touch.

urm not sure, is there a way to find out?
and have you read this thread?
http://forum.novatech.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=411
answer was to use 67.03 drivers.
Card may not be faulty.

Did you get your computer pre-built?
Was it from novatech (they may be able to look it up on their system)
Do you have a manual with it?
Nox
otherwise you can look on the actual board with a torch, and try to find model number - its usually fairly big, and between, or near the PCI slots.
How old is the computer?
Nox
and intel or AMD? sorry for all the questions

lol no prob :) got it pre built, is a medion pc, its intel pentium 4. not that old only few years  lol and i'll look for the motherboard later :)
OK, i'm going to take a few guesses here...
Pre-build machines tend to use cheap components
Medion are well known for cheap computers
its unlikely it has a 'premium' cost chipset in there, so its likely to be SiS or Via
its a couple of years old...
Its starting to ressemble the other post a little, but we won't know for sure until you can find out motherboard model. In the mean time, I would probably try downloading the nvidia 67.03 drivers, and trying them.

yeah SiS sounds familiar, think its one of that type. just downloaded drivers, will let you know asap if they helped. however the other person said it was fine for an hour then the problems started. i find that they are there from the start, so could be another issuse although he got the gt one.
his last comment was:
YeeHaa!!
The driver done the trick lads although i have lost a few fps but at least it works cheers
He was using different drivers before he said that. I'm keeping fingers crossed for ya!

didnt get a chance to try them out, my computer crashed and wouldnt start so had to reload windows :( also when i tried putting the new card in it kept crashing windows and the error said it was the card. so im back to my old geforce 4200ti :(
still going to send this card back for testing, just incase

it may be worth trying version 93 now lol, quite a jump, fault *may* be fixed...
have you updated your motherboard chipset drivers? more likely these need sorting.
